Following British Horse Society advice we are now pleased to be able to offer the following:
A lot of you have been asking when your class lessons might be returning.
Under current regulations, only 6 people may enter an arena at any one time while remaining socially distanced. This 6 includes the instructor and any helpers on the ground that might be required.
As you know our classes are based on 6 riders, plus 1 instructor and assistants as required.
We are currently looking at options for reducing numbers, length of lessons, prices etc.
However, a lot of regulations seem to be changing very quickly so we are hoping things might change for us shortly.
In the meantime please remember you can keep up your riding with private lessons and hacking.
We now have a greater range of private lesson times including with Natalie our senior instructor on Wednesday and Friday.
1 hour private hack £57
1 hour semi-private hack £44 per person
1 1/2 hour private hack £80
1 1/2 hour semi-private hack £64
The office phone line will now be open from Wednesday - Saturday between 8:30 and 3:30 to take bookings.
At this stage we can only take those who regularly ride with us.
All riders must provide their own approved riding hat and wear clean gloves which should be washed after each session.
Your instructor and horse/pony will meet you outside the yard. Please avoid entering the yard or buildings. At the end of the lesson your instructor will return your horse to it's stable.
Currently we are not able to offer lessons either in jumping or work without stirrups.
Lead rein lessons/walks up the lane can be done with a competent family member to lead under supervision of the instructor.
Children/vulnerable riders should only be accompanied by one family member.
Payments either cash or cheque can be handed in an envelope with the riders name on it.
If you or any of your household have Covid-19 symptoms please cancel. Our 24 hours cancellation policy will not apply in this case.
We look forward to seeing you again soon!
A huge thank you to our wonderful riders who have kindly made donations for the upkeep of our very special horses. Your support is invaluable as we continue to care for our horses during this difficult period.
We appreciate it is a difficult time for everyone but if any other riders wish to help then you can do so by donating the money from your pre-paid lessons. This would mean we can use that money for the upkeep of the horses. So, if you feel you can help, then please call the office on 01903 882061 and leave a message or send a Facebook message.
Thank you all for your loyalty and support from all at the Arundel Riding Centre and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

The 'Arundel Farm Riding and Driving Centre' was started by Joy Leggett in 1960. Originally, she started with just a couple of ponies and only a handful of stables, but over many years and with a lot of hard work the business grew. The indoor school was built, more ponies and customers came flooding in. Now the 'Arundel Riding Centre' is run by Alison Leggett and her team of dedicated, qualified staff. Improvements are always being made to ensure the best environment we can provide for both people and ponies. To learn more about the facilities available to visitors, see staff and facilities. To have a look at which ponies you may get to see, go to horses and ponies. Then why not come and meet them in person.
Throughout the year we hold Dressage competitions, Clear round jumping, Riding holidays, Pony days and pony parties. To keep up to date with the events that are happening have a look on our events page.
